Position Summary:
Maintain company vehicles, assist in maintaining facility, and act as back-up to Terminal Operator. Training will be provided as needed. Job duties for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
General Vehicle Maintenance
- Diagnose vehicle malfunctions and performance issues
- Perform minor repairs on Diesel and CNG vehicles
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance according to company and DOT schedules
- Maintain and upkeep parts inventory
General facility maintenance for filling terminal
- Complete minor electrical services at Terminal and truck yard facilities
- Perform minor gas compression work
- Change oil and filters on Terminal equipment
- Complete small engine repair
Backup to Terminal Operator
- Connect, disconnect, and fill CNG Trailers and record returning and departing pressure and temperature information.
- Perform visual inspections of terminal equipment to ensure proper operation and environmental integrity. Informs Director of Operations & Engineering of any maintenance concerns.
- Able to understand and follow company standard operating procedures and safety rules.
- Develops and completes clear and concise reports related to the operation of the terminal.
- Maintains accurate records.
- Exercises independent judgment.
- Assures compliance with all operating procedures, operating requirements, laws, and codes.
- Monitors customer sites and pressure levels through remote monitoring software and reports problems or potential problems to the appropriate supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of diesel mechanic experience with heavy vehicles or education in lieu of experience.
- Associate Degree in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance preferred.
- Ability to diagnose and repair engines, electrical systems, and brake components.
- Goof organizational and technical communication and interpersonal skills, and an ability to influence and deal tactfully with a wide range of personalities a must.
- Must be safety minded, a self-starter, and a team player alike.
- Valid Driver’s License – CDL preferred – with clean MVR and PSP, and with no suspensions
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions when necessary.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screen
- Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the job including climbing stairs and lifting 30-50 pounds.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch.
Location and Conditions: This position operates on a work site and in a professional environment, respectively, with occasional minimal travel. The noise level on the work site can be loud from time to time.
Compensation: starts at $22/hour (more DOE)

This is a full-time, 40hrs per week position with availability on weekends and holidays for overtime, as needed.
