Long-Haul Hazardous Material Driver (Full Time)

Compass Natural Gas is a team of energy, logistics, engineering, and other professionals dedicated to finding effective and innovative ways to distribute and share America’s natural gas resources. Compass utilizes a “virtual pipeline” to deliver natural gas (CNG) to fleets and companies, eliminating the headaches and costs associated with pipeline infrastructure. All We Need is Road to safely and reliably deliver clean, green, American natural gas. 

 

Compass is growing rapidly and we are looking for drivers to join our team. Drivers will be delivering CNG trailers from our Montoursville, PA terminal to customers in Pennsylvania and surrounding states. Our tractors and trailers are brand new and state-of-the-art.

Core Job Responsibilities

•  Job involves four work days per week delivering to the same customer site in another state; home the rest of the time; local work may be available on off-days

• CNG training provided; no prior experience is required

• Job involves delivering, connecting, and disconnecting 40’ CNG tankers at customer sites

• Compressed natural gas does not put the driver into contact with the product, so no bulky PPE is required – work is clean, safe, and straightforward 

• Start and end dates and times will vary, so flexibility is required

•  August/September, 2018 start date

Qualifications 

• Possess a CDL class A drivers license, or be able to obtain one by start date

• Possess tanker and Hazmat endorsements, or be able to obtain them by start date

• 5+ years Hazmat driving experience 

• Ability to pass a background and MVR check

• Be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated 

• Have a great attitude and strong work ethic 

• Flexibility and “can do” attitude to get the work done efficiently and safely 

• Have the ability to deal with customers in a professional manner

EVP – Sales & Marketing

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly-motivated Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing to join our rapidly growing company. The Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing is responsible for planning and implementing sales and marketing programs, both short and long term oriented, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Hazardous Material Driver

Compass Natural Gas Partners, a pioneer in the burgeoning mobile pipeline industry, is looking for drivers to join its team.  Compass transports compressed natural gas (CNG) to industrial customers and vehicle fleets who want to consume natural gas but don’t have access to a natural gas pipeline. 

Drivers will be delivering CNG trailers from our Montoursville, Pennsylvania terminal to customers in Pennsylvania and surrounding states.

Job Expectations & Details:

  • CNG training provided; no prior experience is required
  • Job involves delivering 40’ CNG trailers to customers and connecting and disconnecting hoses
  • Compressed natural gas does not put the driver into contact with the product, so no bulky PPE is required – work is clean, safe, and straightforward
  • Guaranteed 40-hour weekly minimum at $23.00 per hour
  • Generous paid time off and paid holidays

  • Start and end times may vary somewhat based on customer requirements, flexibility is required

Qualifications:

  • Possess a CDL class A license

Service Technician

Compass utilizes a “virtual pipeline” to deliver natural gas (CNG) to fleets and companies, eliminating the headaches and costs associated with pipeline infrastructure. All We Need is Road to safely and reliably deliver clean, green, American natural gas.

We are seeking someone who has a strong passion for the natural gas industry to join our close knit team as a Compressed Natural Gas Service Technician.

Job Expectations & Details:

  • Work with the construction and maintenance of compressed natural gas and CNG equipment and associated control systems at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.
  • Performs inspections, schedules, directs, or performs maintenance of terminal equipment to ensure proper operation and environmental integrity.
  • Performs sampling and testing of all products to meet specifications including monitoring equipment and maintaining testing equipment and documentation.
  • Ensures all work performed adheres to CNG standards and codes requirements to meet commitments related to safe terminal operations.
  • Diagnoses operational problems and takes effective courses of action.
  • Collects equipment data and maintains accurate data.
  • Knows and understands operations and safety rules.
  • Develops and completes clear and concise reports related to the operation at the customer sites.
  • Exercises independent judgment.
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective relationships with those contacted during the course of work.
  • Assists in equipment assembly.
  • Perform non-routine service calls.
  • Assists in training employees.
  • Communicates recent developments, current literature, and sources of information regarding assigned functions.

Education & Minimal Acceptable Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two-year Associate Degree in any trade related field preferred.
  • Mechanical/Electrical aptitude and proficiency.
  • Experience in the natural gas industry preferred.
  • Significant experience in engine, compressor mechanics, production equipment, and gas compression preferred.
  • Possesses expertise on methods and procedures associated with fleet fueling facilities, custodial services, and facility maintenance.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision a must.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Class A CDL license.
  • Available to work weekends/nights/holidays.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the job including climbing stairs and lifting 30-35 pounds.

Travel:

Traveling may occur outside of the workday to customer sites. Some overnight travel may be expected. The home office is in Mechanicsburg, PA.
