Decreased Fuel Cost
Whether you are leasing fleets to other companies, or exploring an alternative energy source for your own fleet, we know what matters to you: cost. When your team is driving hundreds or even thousands of miles per week, the rising cost of diesel has the potential to hurt your bottom line.
A 2016 report published by the US Department of Energy (DOE) shows that a Southern California company that deployed more than 200 natural gas trucks in local and regional delivery fleets found that these vehicles displaced 1.2 million gallons of diesel and 2,200 tons of greenhouse gas emissions annually. At Compass Natural Gas, our team has the unique ability to provide you with a set cost for a set duration of time, allowing you to feel confident when negotiating extended agreements with your clients.
Utilizing compressed natural gas as your energy source is not only less harmful to the environment and your bottom line, but also reduces maintenance and extends the life of your engines. CNG is free of lead and does not cause acidic corrosion of engine material. The clean burning fuel also does not dilute or contaminate crankcase oil, resulting in more time between oil changes and extended spark plug life. CNG also avoids vapor lock due to its gaseous state — versus other types of fuel which need to be converted from liquid to gas before starting the engine.
Compass Natural Gas exclusively utilizes non-lubricated compressors to greatly reduce the potential amount of oil present within the fuel. Our compressed natural gas exceeds Cummins Engines industry standards for fleet technology.
Driving America’s Energy Independence and Decreasing Greenhouse Gas Emissions
Formal and informal pushes to reduce carbon footprint and greenhouse gas emissions are on the rise. Programs like the DOE’s “Clean Cities” aims to drive America’s energy independence while also reducing damage to the environment. The DOE’s 2016 report shows that the Southern California company also estimated that its greenhouse gas emissions decreased by 2,200 tons annually.
Our Promise to Commercial Fleets
